Do you have distribution in my area?
Currently our corporate headquarters and production facilities are located in Metro Detroit. But, we offer very reasonable shipping rates to all parts of the United States. We have weekly delivery scheduled in Michigan, Ohio and Northern Indiana please contact us to see if you are located in our current delivery area.

Can I place an order for pick up at Alexander Door?
Absolutely! Simply complete your on-line shopping and select “in store pickup”. If you know when you expect to pick up your order, we can be notified by email, shipping@alexanderdoor.com or by calling 1-800-XXX-XXXX.

How is my door(s) shipped?
The best way to ship items larger then 8ft is by Common Carrier. These orders are wrapped, boxed, or secured to a pallet to provide the best protection in transit. Shipping expense is determined by a combination of weight and distance and these shipments are sent COD (except NYC). In most cases, you have the option of delivery to your address or a savings can be realized if you can pick up your order at the carrier’s terminal. When you place an online order for common carrier shipment, Alexander Door will contact you with a shipping estimate for your approval before processing the order.

Do I have to be present at the time of delivery?
Yes, if item is shipped through common carrier. The customer or his representative must be present at the time of delivery. AlexanderDoor provides tailgate delivery service and therefore the customer must be present to receive, check in, and sign for all delivered materials.

Can you ship UPS or FedEx?
Generally speaking, FedEx and UPS are best used with small orders, with shipping charges based upon a combination of package size, destination, and weight.  Items over 8 ft in length are very costly to ship this way though and common carrier is used for larger items
